What about adding access to the control panel from the app?
On a slightly different note, I've noticed that it zooms me too far into some folders as I'm viewing them. Then I can't see the properties of a file without deselecting it.

Do you mean the file details that appear underneath the object can't be read because you're too close after click-rolling forward? Anyways, it's a possible bug. Currently the distance is global and not tweaked per model. I'll add this to the bug tracker.
